Yes... the "Meandering" Mind is at work this morning. With all the talk of gun control on the news.. facebook.. etc.
As I think about all those that have been killed or maimed in any way... It amazes me that people will blame an inanimate object, and want to get rid of it.. YET.. others don't.
My family has had guns, and some still do. I have never seen my brother's guns jump off the gun rack or walk out of the gun cabinet and go off and harm anyone on their own.
They did get meat for the table at my brothers usage of them.
Nor did I see any knives jumping out of the drawers or machete's bouncing off the wall and running out to commit mayhem, or to throw themselves at someone nearby.
Nor was his wife afraid of guns... Until an awful thing happened in their lives and she feared my brother's temper, that he might "blame her" and do harm to her for their 2 year old baby getting out on the road and being run over. She didn't call us about the guns, but called us about her husband and what he might do with them.
We rushed out to help. His shock had worn off and he was calm...an in such sorrow.. so in the end the truth is.. what?
Truth is... people need our help to change from the inside to handle their anger/hurt in better ways, to respect others lives, and not to resort to violence to solve your problem or a wrongly perceived problem.
"Be ye transformed by... the renewing of your mind..... "
Use some common sense people... and begin to change our ways of *dealing* with what ever & help others too. Our biggest help is in Jesus, He is the transforming factor.. with love, forgiveness, peace, and on it goes! Trust Him! When we accept Him & his ways, the right "change" begins in life & relationships. :-)
