"Thinking"

A lot could be learned from crayons.

Some are sharp,

Some are dull,

Some are pretty,

Some have wierd names,

And all are different colors...

But, they all have to learn to live in the same box.

 

A wise person must have had a "thinking" day too, to be able to come up with that... but it is sooo true & 

we can apply it to people, work places, church, communities also.

 

Do you have some "Sharp" people in your life? "Dull" folks? "Pretty" folks? etc. etc.  Well I do!!

 

The other day at crochet we got to talking about "Loving" people and IFF only we could learn to "love" as Christ loved us. WOW would that change our families.

It would change even some churches, (since none of us or anything is 'perfect') change work places.... 

And it could make change the world too.

 

Most change I have found has BEGUN in me!  OOPS she's done stopped teaching and gone to meddling now...

I do hope you won't really feel that way..

but that is how God Created things to be...

         HE FIRST loved us.

He tells us to GIVE what we want and in the process it shall be given back to us. It is in giving that we recieve.

His kind of Love, desires what is best for the other person 'first.' Have Compassion on people.

   The Love Chapter in the Bible explains what real love is and it is not.. very well... 1 Corinthians 13

 Verses 4-7 particularly, but do not miss the whole short chapter.. there is much there.

Someone once said that if we take and insert our names for the words.. "love/or charity" (depending on your version) and insert "I for it" and ask ourselves is that the way I am loving/treating the other person?  

OH BOY.. Are you getting the idea? 

(I personally like the Living Bible translation for this exercise) :-)

And they said... read this each day for a month, apply it, and relationships will change.. starting with self.

 

"LOVE" is.. very patient and kind,
"Love" is never jealous or envious,

never boastful or proud,

never haughty or rude.

"Love" does not demand it's own way.

"It" is not irritable or touchy.

"It" does not hold grudges and will hardly notice when someone does 'it' wrong.

"It" is never glad about injustice, but rejoices when truth wins out.

If 'you' love someone you will be loyal to them no matter what the cost. 'You' will always believe in them, always expect the best of them, and always stand your ground in defending them.

  

    Are we loving like that? DO WE have people that love us like that?  If we do.. we are blessed beyond measure to have them in our lives. So lets not muck it up...

    And between men and women... 

"Real" Love begins from the neck UP ↑ 

and Lust begins from the neck down ↓
