November ALREADY??

Halloween is over and Thanksgiving on the way.. now instead of carved pumpkins the mind goes to Pumpkin Pie... as only Alice Gulley could make it!

My oh My this year has flown by! And since our surgeries in March for Bud, and May for me, we have been close to home all this year. I feel like I may have cabin fever! Whatever that is, but I do want to Burst Out of Here!  Maybe next year, Lord Willing.

There are 8 birthdays this month, and some have gone on before us. That brings up the Memory prompt button for sure. (Jim Mahon, Brandon Cole, Jr. Stubbs)

The weather has turned chilly for sure and my hands have begun the winter 'hurt' and it's going to get colder than this for sure. Even so I am anxious to see the first snow/just snow.  I know, I know, I am one of the odd ones. I have always loved snow. I have loved shoveling snow for Bud and us when I could too. I miss that!  But "maybe" just "maybe" I can do a little this year????  Well I can dream, can't I?

Mom Gulley always said, "the older you get the faster time goes." And... she was sooo right, tho I argued with her back then. That was dumb, cause in the long run, "mom is always right." :-)
So the goal is even more important now to enjoy each day. Mom's favorite scripture she recited each day.. "This is the day the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it."  No matter if it was a good day or a bad day.. she rejoiced in the day.

As I sort of meandered thru life I wish I had been more focused, with goals in mind. But that is all water under the bridge now.  Ya live each day the best you can with what you know at the time, and hopefully learn to do better the next day, don't you think?  I do.
We can't cry over spilt milk as they say or what might have been or what we missed. "Forgetting what is behind I press on.... "
How about you?
         Till next time....
