Thinking of innocent babies born to us. Blank Slates but with the capacity to think, speak, feel, reason, taste, see, hear, etc. etc. When they get here about all they are good for is to hold, love, and they cry & cry and eat and eat.. & make dirty diapers! lol
Sooo in the process of growing.. these little ones are molded and made into the likes, dislikes of their parents and family. Just like we were! Some is caught, some taught and a wee bit is in the genes.
Milk fed they are, be it bottle or breast. Time comes to feed something else and now the fun begins!! They are literally BLANK slates.. have no clue as to the taste, texture of other things. So we must keep trying to get them to Accept... the new stuff.
.... Like ALL things it takes more than 1 time to really accept something, begin to sorta like it, and after a bit "yeah! that's pretty good!" "MORE please" OR say "IF i spit it out enough times can I convince Mom & Pop that I don't really like it?" (even tho it might be very good for me?) (who's in charge lol)
Now comes other things... we feast on! The likes & dislikes of food is not the only things.
Say what is that sound I'm hearing?? Soothing to the ears.. soft & simple lullabyes.. nice. Now they are tossing in something else.. wow! They call it music. Is your background Country? Classical? Big Band? Rock? The exposure of your preference becomes theirs for a time.
Oh boy the folks are discussing that person again that they don't like... guess I better not like them either.. etc.
So come on... what we expose, teach, or expect from these tiny persons while they are little and as they grow is all they know the *most of.* School & friends bring another venue to them, but parents & family have the most influence.
A lot is passed down thru the generations... sad to say... that should have been tossed out or we should have had a "transformed mind" about some things.
Sad to say .. there are no perfect parents or families. Some of us are blessed in time to have been introduced to Jesus and His mind on things and now we are clicking!
But in the long run, lots of us still need makeovers in the mind, heart, and our attitudes. It takes effort & work and maybe we are just too lazy to put that out.. I don't know.. but let's begin where we are and allow a transformation to take place for the good of all and pass that along to the next generations. What say you? We are all Human Beings and created in the image of God with the a mind, spirit & emotions. We can think, feel, reason..fill ourselves & our posterity with Love..Rather than Hate.. Get rid of Negativity and Look for Positives.. and Accent the Positive more..
...We have life & liberty in America and can pursue our own happiness with some effort. Are we instilling in our posterity,
Respect for others & their things?
Kindness to all?
to Be peacemakers?
Are we patient with each other?
Are we willing to put up with others as they are walking their rough road to goodness.?
When others are negative, will we find a positive?
Do we have an appreciation for others background/heritage?
Do we discourage rudeness? Foul language?
Can we, will we hold each other accountable in love to
BEing our Best, DOing our Best, Looking our best and so forth..
I could go on.. but I'm sure you get the idea..

Everything begins IN the Mind.... remember this old saying.. Garbage In.. Garbage Out.... What are we putting in?? That's what will come out.
