Ahhh during the War Years as we call the 2nd World War.. or WW2... there were many great sayings in my growing up years, and some with a Scriptural connotation even.
BUT... Right now the one most on my mind is "Loose Lips Sink Ships!" Meaning that anything the enemy could find out about the goings on of our troops could be disastrous! And sink some ships.. so DO NOT talk about your orders, where you might be going, or what you might be doing, not even with loved ones...
And there are many times these days that people need to call out for help, and don't because they are not sure who they can trust!
Ever feel that way?
We should not *discuss* people. Or their troubles.
As Christians we are to be a people of Big Shoulders, Compassionate hearts & Closed Lips! and Wise counsel if need be...
"What does T H E Book say?"
Our Bibles are our Manuals for living, godly counsel, and our road map for life.
Let's have Big shoulders that someone can safely lean on.
Let's have Closed Lips, that whatever we are told, stays with us.
Let's use our Bibles for counsel & instruction or encouragement.
Yes... Loose Lips can sink ships.. the ship of someones, self-esteem, character, Or what ever might be the trouble in a person's life... can hurt them to no end...
Let's be Encourager's!! A Lighthouse in a sea of storm, and a warm safe refuge!
